Get an idea of what Project Based Learning (PBL) is by viewing an introduction to project-based learning. Also see a video of project-based learning in action. PBL helps our students:

  • collaborate with other students
  • develop communication and critical thinking skills.
  • produce work that has an authentic purpose

Below, you will find a variety of ideas that can be adapted to context, content, and students' needs. Some can be completed in one class session and others over many days. Before moving to full project-based learning activities, make sure students are at least comfortable using the technology by preparing them up with smaller tasks and creating small groups where students can learn from one another.
